Born in Nashville, Tennessee, I am a first generation American designer. My parents, both born and raised in Mexico City, instilled within me a strong immigrant work ethic that defines the discipline, precision, and passion I harness in my work.
My design is informed by an intimate relationship with art and culture - molded by an interest in contemporary and historic design philosophies. My work is fueled by an obsession for beautifully crafted garments that possess the technical and aesthetic wherewithal to outlive the period in which they were conceived. My work focuses on relationships between structure, fluidity, posture, seductiveness, and empowerment. These values are explored through sleek tailoring, effortless drape, novel construction techniques and innovative textile use.
